The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) published an article on June 30, 2022 that shows some algae bloom predictions for western Lake Erie. The graph above is included in that article.
One observation is that after 2007, the algae bloom severity dramatically increases and never seems to subside to previous normal levels. Is there a tipping point to a point of no return?
