Guided Tour - Town of Cumberland Gap
Hidden Gems Revealed by Native Dr. Tony Maxwell
FREE group event
If you attended the 2022 Streamin' the Gap event and went on the guided street tour of nearby Middlesboro with native historian Dr. Tony Maxwell, then you know what to expect -- fabulous insider stories and special access to non-public areas. The only thing that is changed this year is that we will be exploring the historic town of Cumberland Gap. You won't even have to get in your truck.
Karlan Mansion Tour at Wilderness Road State Park
Free Tour but $3 / car entrance fee
This year, we will be touring the Karlan Mansion at the Wilderness Road State Park (learn more). The park features the reconstructed Martin's Station, an outdoor living history museum depicting life on Virginia's 1775 frontier.
One unique characteristic of this park includes the unadulterated view from the fort -- void of any signs of today's civilization. Enjoy the experience. This is in Virginia, only 10 miles from Cumberland Gap.
Movie Night
Under the Stars
FREE group event.
The movie is always a hit -- but be prepared for the weather. A warm blanket may be your best friend.
This was so much fun last year. Improved for this year is that there will not be any conflicts with other events so you can sit through the whole movie!
